ADL’s VOICES: A Concert For Unity

By Paula Araujo

Last month, hundreds of people gathered at Westport’s Levitt Pavilion in Connecticut for the Anti-Defamation League’s “VOICES: A Concert for Unity.” The evening focused on ADL’s core message of advocating for civil rights by combating bigotry and bullying by spreading kindness and respect. The jam packed evening included Paul Shaffer, Plain White T’s, Suzanne Vega, Alisan Porter (winner of NBC’s The Voice), Adam Kaplan (Broadway star – Kinky Boots, Newsies), and rap artist Napoleon da Legend among others. Throughout the evening their were performances from current and former students of the town’s high school and surrounding businesses such as Double Up Dance Company,  Fairfield’s School of Rock, and Music Theatre of Connecticut. Speakers included Suzanne Cover Mescher and Steve Ginsburg.
