Mayday Parade’s A Lesson in Romantics 10th Anniversary tour made a stop in New Haven, Connecticut on Saturday May 6th. The evening was much more than a nostalgic gathering of twenty-somethings waiting to see and reminisce over a band that carried them through their middle and high school years. It was a celebration of music that still carries significance today.
Attendees enjoyed the music of “Milestones”, a UK band that opened up the show and gave the audience several reasons to listen to them and be remembered. Following them were Illinois natives, Knuckle Puck. This group raised the energy, playing hit songs such as “Disdain” and “No Good.” Their set perfectly prepared the crowd for the main event everyone had been waiting all night for.
Mayday Parade’s entrance was nothing short of incredible with the backdrop and prop streetlights on stage bringing the album cover to life. They played the entire album, front to back, and then treated fans to even more as they played songs from other former records including their self titled album.
