Passion filled the room of Toquet Hall in Westport, CT on April 1st as Adrian Galvin better known as Yoke Lore, took the stage performing to a small intimate crowd. Size didn’t hold him back from pouring it all out on stage. Local Connecticut acts The Foresters and Kalimur warmed up the crowd with their original tunes and some covers.
Yoke Lore may be new to the scene, but Adrian is not new to the stage. He was formerly in a few groups, one of them being Walk The Moon. This new chapter of Yoke Lore seems to be the perfect fit for Adrian. With dignified vocals and a banjo by his side, Adrian creates a uniquely refreshing sound bound to captivate any listener. His performance is as intricately crafted and vulnerable as the music. Much of the set list consisted of songs off his debut EP released last year, Far Shore.
Having over 3.5 million streams on “Hold Me Down” it’s no surprise this song was one of the stand out performances of the night. Other mesmerizing tunes were “Heavy Love” and his newly released track, “World Wings.” Adrian is incredibly entertaining and welcoming by telling anecdotes of past performances, talking about the inspiration behind songs, and dancing along truly feeling the moment and the music making it an incredible show.
Definitely check out Yoke Lore on the road this spring. These intimate shows are truly a treat and make for a wonderful evening of music.
