NYC Welcomes Back Good Charlotte

It was “Throwback Thursday” at its finest when Good Charlotte brought their mini tour to NYC. On Thursday April 21st, Good Charlotte graced the stage and performed to a massive sold out crowd in the Grand Ballroom of Webster Hall. Opening the show were Texas natives, Waterparks. Their vibrant set included songs off their EP released earlier this year, “Cluster.” The young rockers had just the right amount of playfulness and edge to get the crowd pumped up.

Good Charlotte amplified things as soon as they hit the stage with their classic, “The Anthem” and quickly set the crowd into a frenzy. The evening was filled with nostalgia as they sang several songs off their sophomore album, “The Young and the Hopeless” such as ‘Riot Girl,’ ‘Girls and Boys,’ and ‘Hold On.’ Even with all those fan favorites, the crowd was hungry for songs even older and the band happily obliged and sang ‘Little Things’ and ‘East Coast Anthem’ off their self titled debut album.

The band certainly felt and received endless love not only from fans at the show but from family members and longtime friends as well. Receiving some extra special love was Joel Madden, as his kids were in attendance at the show. It was clear how excited and proud they are of their father as they constantly waved to him throughout the evening leaving Joel with the biggest smile on his face every time he looked up at them.

It was without a doubt a fun filled evening for fans both returning and new to a Good Charlotte concert. The guys certainly know how to rock and throw a party. The final songs of the evening were “I Just Wanna Live,” and “Life Styles of the Rich and the Famous” which made for the ultimate grand finale.

Good Charlotte has made a triumphant return to the scene and are here to stay. The band is so incredibly grateful for this welcoming return and stated that they plan on doing a full length tour this fall. For now, you can catch them performing this summer at the APMAs and on select dates of the Vans Warped Tour. Their new album “Youth Authority” will be released onΒ  July 15 and is available for pre-order on their website and on iTunes.
