By Kimberly Rabita

On Friday March 11, 2016 State Champs played a sold out show in their home state of New York at the Grand Ballroom in Webster Hall. Opening the show and getting the crowd pumped were Toronto natives, Like Pacific. During their set the crowd surfing excitement and energy began. The following act was Knuckle Puck, which included both old and new songs throughout their set. Fans were passionately singing along with every word they sang. Next in the lineup was Neck Deep. Their set provided just the right amount of momentum needed to amplify the crowd for the main act, State Champs. The energy from each member of the band made the crowd wild. The crowd surfing and huge mosh pit perfectly captured the energy and good vibes that filled the room. With every beat, the crowd would jump along as they sang every word to all the songs. The set list included a few throwbacks from their previous albums “The Acoustic Things” and “The Finer Things” as well as tracks off of “Around the World and Back.” These bands seamlessly flowed together and provided fans with a night they’ll never forget.
