R5 rocked a sold out Beacon Theatre in NYC on February 27. Opening for them was close family member Ryland and good pal, Max Schneider .
Ryland began the night with a DJ set containing all the right beats and hits to get the crowd pumped up. Children and parents were all enjoying his set. He also gave away some free tshirts.
Max brought just the right amount of momentum and energy with a electric set featuring songs off his new album “Hells Kitchen Angel” and other fan favorites. New York City is Max’s hometown and he certainly was feeling the love from the crowd. Throughout the set he had a radiating smile that hardly ever left his face.
Screams filled the theater as the lights went down and R5 kicked off their set on the right note with their hit “Dark Side.” Fans were able to enjoy the show from the comfort of their home as well as the show was live streamed via periscope. The family based group played their hits “Cali Girl,” and “Always.” R5 played an excellent cover of “All These Things” by The Killers.
The concert was a great time for children and parents of all ages.
